Default 60X digiscope comparo

Here is an example of image magnification via digiscoping. My point and shoot was set to a 50mm equivelent fl. and the photo was taken. Then the same subject was imaged through a 24mm eyepiece attached to my 1000mm f10 lens assy. The distance to the gas meter was identical in both photos.

This is very impressive, and I don't mean the magnification - I mean the "clairity" of the image. Magnification is something I assume - But P&S cameras usually lack the fine detail that you are showing us.

I'll stick with my rig, simply because I can shoot handheld at higher speeds, and even shoot birds in flight - Nevertheless, this is impressive.

The little Sony H70 is decent but does show noise at even medium ISO's. It does work very well for digiscoping though. Birds in flight are a definate no-no for this type of photography. Thanks for your comments Chato. Always good to hear from you.
