Default Microorganisms, three images

Three images, Paramecium, Colpidium, and a diatom. All taken utilizing a Zeiss Axiostar with a Canon Powershot A570IS. An image of the filamentous algae "Spirogyra" was requested. I know I have one somewhere but I will have to browse my files to find it.

Paramecium, Canon A570IS 1/200 sec. @ f/2.6 ISO 80

Colpidium, Canon A570IS 1/160 sec. @ f/2.6 ISO 80

Like the Paramecium, Colpidium are ciliates and some consider them the "rabbits" of the protozoa due to the fact that they explode in great numbers in culture.

Diatom, Canon A570IS 1/200 sec. @ f/2.6 ISO 80

Diatoms are the jewels of the microcosom, plants encased in pill-like boxes of silica glass.
