I have been having a test of the new Topaz simplify filter and for some pictures I find it very effective.

What are your thoughts?

Hi,

As much as I like shots #2 and #3 (and I do), I would be interested in seeing both as they came out of the camera-without any special effects.

Seems like image 3 could stand on its own without any PP.

Thanks for posting

Zig

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. After comparing both the originals and the processed,I, myself, reallydo preferthe originals. Especially the shot of the lone tree in the field-quite nice.

Don't get me wrong, I fool around quite a bit with Photoshop Elements, Picasa 3 as well as other apps. to put a different twist on an image. Yet, most often, I go back to the original digital file as I generally like them the best............... I guess it's because that's what caught my eye in the first place.

Thanks for sharing.

Zig

I guess I should point out that the reason I like the lone tree in the rolling meadow is that the haze is quite effective in that shot and gives the image a very dreamy quality.
