Default dark art portraits

I did this one of my brother in law for fun, and his family is going crazy over it. i cut him out of a ho hum photo and added one of my recent moon shots...
now my sister wants 2 more done, one of her and one of my niece. its going to be a challenge to make my niece into a dark picture... i wanna keep it kinda kid friendly. though i already got the perfect picture to use.

anyway, heres the first one of my BIL

Very nice. Looks like a Dragan effect. Thanks for sharing it and good luck satisfying the future demands from your family.

Interesting effect you have done to his picture. I dont feel like the moon is necessary. I think your BIL and the background could stand on their own. Id like to see a larger version of your BIL alone to check out the details.

I like the result. I think adding some shadow to the right of the face so that the lighting is more similar to the moon would be good but even so I can see why they are impressed.

second shot is much better........in the first one the feel is wrong, could be because the moon and man are lit differently.........he should be lit by light falling the same was as the moon, which is directly from the left

Very nice work! It most definitely looks like the Dragan effect.
I do see how you feel bad about doing your niece using this effect. She looks so down and out.
