Beautiful '58 Corvette. The '58 to '62's had the dual headlights. The '54 to '57's had single headlights. I've always thought the Corvettes from the '50's to '62 had a classic look.

However everytime I see a '58-62, I kick myself. Had a chance back in '77 to buy a '62 Corvette roadster...327- 4bbl V8, 4 speed...could of bought it back then for $ 5000 Cdn. I hemmed and hawed a bit too long. One of the many vehicles that I could of bought, but didn't.

Walter, again a lovely job of photographing beautiful vintage cars. Your expertise as a photographer is fabulous and the backgrounds enhance already magnificent pictures.

Please don't mind my nit picking ...I'm a long time gearhead.

Les, thanks. I just mis-labeled the shot, although the license plate is correct.

Walter your pictures are great. The depth of field, the lighting, the background...everything is spot on.Your choice of cars also demonstrates your knowledge and excellent taste in selecting significant car models from the past.

I take vintage car pictures too...but my efforts pale in contrast to your work.

One difficulty I have is that the cars are at car shows and as a result have people and other cars encroaching on the pictures. I need to improve my post processing...actually I need to learn how you do it.

Your shots look like they have been done in a studio. Quite professional.

Please continue to post them I enjoy your work very much.

Not to be picky... 1956 is close... I was born in 1957... I will keep my eyes pealed for any pictures you might have of that era.

All the best.

Ned,

I had a Scandinavian car that was one of my best. When I was a university student eons ago, I drove a Swedish made '62 Volvo PV544s with the B18S engine.

Now I know Sweden isn't Finland...but I also know that some of the best racing drivers on the planet are Finnish and I'm sure many a Finn raced and rallied Volvo PV's.

Your post put me in mind of my old Volvo coupe, when you spoke of pix you would like to see . I only took one picture of it back then...35+ years ago and it wasn't the greatest of pix. A stock '60's Volvo PV544 would be a photo that I would love to see.

Les, Volvos are Saab are awesome... I still like the older-stylish Saab... don't know why they had to make a whole new design.

Well, I am sure that Walter, here, can keep his eye open for any of these cars... his pictures of cars cannot be beat.

Take care.
