Default Cow Crossing Crick

A painting I did this week for a good friend of her BC and Jersey. Been trying human portraits but much prefer and enjoy animal/nature paintings more.

CC appreciated
Thanks
Dennis

Thanks Bynx. No didnt use Nik, dont have it. Topaz only plugin I have but dont use it often...tho I like to look and get ideas.
Basically done smudging with Gimp as are most my other ones. I usually use NX2 to prepare-oversharpen, up sat/contrast and take out blemishes.I used Martin's Auto HDR on this one to prepare it.. Then use Gimp for actual smuging/airbrushing. Only use a couple brushes mainly-just change opacity/rate and size, sometimes fade, depending what I'm working on in the painting. Then sharpen it back up again when done smudging. Been experimenting on 4 or 5 different ways to do that but Highpass is in all of them.
