Default Polaroid Snowshoe

Tried my hand at making a polaroid collage. Needs some work if I want it to look more realistic, but this was my first attempt.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Can someone tell me if the frames around the pictures are "off white" or more of a yellow color. I was going for a cream off white color, but I looked at it on another monitor and they looked real yellow. I'm wondering if it's my monitor or the other that's off, because it was quite a big difference, and if it's my monitor, I could see how a lot of my pictures could be heavily over saturated.

It's a good creamy whitened yellow on my monitor (and i checked my monitor with many prints). Here's a comparison with a strong yellow:

Hope it helps.

Though my monitor is hardware calibrated it's a cheap TN panel... Also, I'm using IE8
which is not great at reproducing color either...

See these links about browsers and color reproduction:

That being said, it looks OK to me... Sort of a subdued creamy color, not yellow
as far as I can tell...

Thanks for the replies. I'm starting to think it's my monitor considering the "strong yellow" above looks washed out. I think I just need to break down and get a new system considering I've been doing all my editing on either a 10" netbook, or a 19inch LCD tv, not even a true computer monitor. College life, have to do everything on a budget...

Yea, right. From your collage it would seem that you're really hitting the books hard...and living frugally in the dorm on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Very nice BTW.

No books to be hit right now, got 3 weeks off for Winter break and as far as what's in the collage, toys come first, household needs come second...

Just a suggestion: Seeing as you're on a budget you may be able to pick up
a decent "used" CRT monitor for next to nothing... A decent (calibrated) CRT,
I believe, is one of the best monitors you can get for digital post processing...

Check out some of the local Salvation Army and second-hand stores... I've
seen good sized decent ones for as little as 25 bucks in these places...

Just a thought...
