Frank, these were shot from the shore with a 400 5.6L lens, hand-held.

Hey Walter ... I've just now opened your post and want to say that I truly 'appreciate' your work here. First of all, the shots of these two guys are a great catch of time in motion. Stopped action like this helps me to see the realities of the sport. I also like the 'out of bounds' technique you have used. Have never heard of it, but am pretty much a baby in the post-processing world, other than Picasa. It's about all I can handle for now (perhaps photoshop someday.) I also understand about the amount of time it takes to work on a project like this one ... Well-done art is much about making the difficult look really easy to those who don't understand the craft. So keep it up ... I'd love to see more of your work.
