Default Big Moon Landscape

I figured out what I did wrong when I took my soft supermoon photos -- I turned off autofocus on my Sony A350 when I should have left it on. I turned it off because according to the manual, the camera would default to "infinity".

Anyway, I wanted to use my "stock" photo of the moon so I pasted it on a landscape I took in Chester NY yesterday (near the bus parking lot on exit 126 on Rt. 17).

I thought about posting this in the "critique" section but I don't know if something meant to be "artsy" can be critiqued. So having said that, please feel free to critique that I might improve. Thanks.

(I'm also playing around with watermarks -- not sure yet if I will keep this one. The logo "bc" was designed my senior-year high son. I added "digital photos".)

this is pretty cool, i really like this. one thing though is you have clouds in the sky but nothing over the moon, you can prolly fake it with some work in layers.

Hi,

I love what you've been able to put together in this composition. Not only a great imagination, but this shows a great handle on the software.

Thanks for sharing. As for where to post, I'm just happy that you posted it for all of us to enjoy. this is great eye candy.

Zig

Thank you, Ordo, Hards80, Zig, for the very encouraging comments.

Hards80, I like your suggestion. The moon looks like it's in front of the clouds. I added some clouds in the version below.

Zig, yes, I've been spending a lot (too much) time playing with the Topaz sliders. My boss' boss came by my cube the other day, liked my latest wallpaper (Grand Central Terminal in NYC), asked if I did it, and asked for a b&w version. I know I shouldn't take that as encouragement to processing pics at work but at least it's not the opposite of getting fired for goofing around...

I was going to say "spooky" as well, then I say banksy's comment. Yes, and eerie too. Nice work.

Thank you, banksy, Walter. Maybe I should have waited until Halloween before posting...

This is the middle exposure. Topaz turned it into night.

#2) Your comments encouraged me to create another. Thank you for looking.
