Thanks, Tika. Some of the best times I've had with my son's have been out walking a field, whether we had any success or not.

Great shot. I do like the sepia treatment.

If you like hunting and dogs, you might take a minute to look at this site done by a fellow Steve's forum member;

Thank you, Zig. Great site, by the way. Makes me long for October & quail season. I'm going to try to get up north (Dakotas) for a nice pheasant hunt this year as well. We have some pheasant in the Texas panhandle, but nothing like the upper midwest. I didn't get to hunt at all this year because I tore up my knee pretty badly the first weekend of November. Had surgery in December and am still working on getting back to walking without a lot of pain. I'll be ready by fall, though!

Jerry,
I like the image. It's nice and sharp and it conveys hunter. Your wood floor caught my eye though, very nice looking distressed floor. (my husband's a flooring contractor)

Thanks, Sharna. I was trying to capture that late fall afternoon feel. Glad you like the floor. Being the typical male, I was stunned when we put the floor in 6 years ago and my wife told me she wanted "distressed" wood floors, and that to buy wood planks that looked messed up (my thinking) we had to actually pay more! I thought the more practical route was just to put pristine looking floors down and not give our 5 kids any restrictions on what they could do on the floors. That way, I would be less "distressed", the kids would have more fun and we would have our "distressed" floors in about 6 months at drastically lower cost! Unfortunately, my wife wouldn't go for it, so this was what we chose.
