Excellent, Kex! Next, try it in color. Copy and paste the original photo onto the final sketch, then reduce the opacity of that top colored layer.

Yes, it's definitely a good one!

One of the great things about this action is that it gives us something to do with all those photos that, for one reason or another, don't impress us in their original form. The photo of my brother's corgi wasn't anything special at all, but turning it into a sketch gave it the spark it lacked.
