I personally think that is your best version of that photograph yet. The effect tends to diffuse the confusion of all the twigs etc.
Very Nice!

Pleeeeeae take this as constructive. I really dont mean to "Dis" your photo. The composition is great, effect great. All I would suggest is playing with the levels in order to lose some of the Greyness and add a bit of punch!
Remember though, this is just my opinion and counts for nothing!

What does it mean your opinion count for nothing ?
Everyone has its own one in this forum.
And people are free to agree or not.

Your post is useful cause it shows how the same subject can be faced in two different ways by two different people.

Though you did a good job in adding a punch to it I prefer ( but this is my personal taste ) the pastel colours of the first one cause I think they are more appropriate to the texture of the canvas : in your version this delicate effect is overwhelmed by the saturated colors.

Mabe a little bit more contrast (without saturating colors) in the first one would enhance it.

Good point on all counts. I guess differing opinions are what make the world go around eh? Whatever, it is a good pic!

I appreciate your opinion very much and it shows that you thought out your comments well enough that you took the time to remix the pic in what you saw as how it should be. It looks nice, but washed out and muted is what I was going for, it's a common theme in alot of work I've done, both in edits of photographs and also of alot of 3d graphics art I used to do in poser. Its just my style I guess. I won't appologize for it, nor should you appologize for having an opinion or a different taste than mine. I wouldn't post here if I didn't want to hear what people actually thought though, even if they don't agree with me. so thanks for being honest and keep the opions coming!

I agree with vito..
I think we all would like to, and do! learn something from the community here.
About your picture, I like it very much. Reminds me of a billboard or mural the way it looks.
