This is a composite of two images I shot tonight at a nearby pond (the pond was obviously beside a road...hehe). The sunset and the bird seemed to fit, so here's the result. Camera: FZ10 with Panasonic 1.5 teleconverter on monopod.

The bird just doesn't look like it is real in the picture. Perhaps the angle of the shadow in it is a litte off, because if you compare the bird to the truck, the truck has no lighting on any edges, but the bird has some on the bottom of it.

I agree fully. I couldn't figure out exactly what was wrong, but I knew something was definitely lacking. Thanks for pointing it out for me!

Here's my edit. I decided to make the bird look a bit more supernatural and added a tiny bit of glow to the side of the truck. Thanks for the suggestions:

That is better.

In the first the bird looks like a filter has been applied, the oil painting one or something similar. What if you were to make the truck look the same?

very nice work norm....the first...like disco said, the bird doesn't seem to "go"....which at most time can be harder to tell other than lighting and stuff like that....

i like the last one nice work

I think the original shot would be the best if the bird was as dark as the truck. But what would I know :P

i think it is a beautiful image and the truck is nicely exposed. I dont think the bird fits at all, imho it spoils the photo, good attempt though.
