wow! that is awesome! i can see why you picked this shot to enter!

wat type of fair is this? just a local fair? or does it have to do directly with photography? or is it horse-related?

now.....you know you have to tell me how you did this....did you past a picture in the eye? or just make the eye color and the rest not?

beautiful shot...i love it...

This is just such an awesome photo, Amy! I don't know what the quality of the other photos will be, but this one looks good enough to me to win something.

The contrast of the horse's large eye in color against the almost totally grayscale head is great. The reflections of what the horse is looking at in the horse's eye provides lots of interest for the viewers.

All I did was the airbrush tool and make it "color" and make my color black... sorry I don't know much about PS... but yeah that would be GREAT if I entered it and actually WON something!

The fair is just a local county fair and I think I am entering it both in the photography part and in 4H photgraphy. That would be AWESOME if I got a state fair trip for 4H, but also not because (hopefully) I will get one with my horse and then you can only take one trip.. and I would really love to go to the fair with Disco.

Anyhoo yea thanks everyone for the compliments! I've never taken a truly good photo.. I think this is my first!! Yay!

What are the fair's rules regarding enterring digitally altered photos? In the Oregon State Fair, there is no category for digital art. In the photography division, the rules state that digital prints may not contain "non-photographic" elements.

You have a great picture there. Just make sure it meets the entry criteria for the fair.

Best of Luck to you.
