Default DPP EX5 experience?

i'm considering purchasing a 4x6 dye sub printer... after looking over this site, I'm thinking about the Sony DPP EX5.

does anyone have any reviews or comments regarding this printer? .... or any other recommendations? the DPP SV77 maybe?

The SV77 just looks like it might have extra features that I don't necessarily care to have

also, with dye sub in general:
What do you have to buy in addition to the printer? I would imagine these transfer ribbons and of course paper. How does the cost of the ribbons compare to ink jet cartridges?

and finally, does anyone know where I could find 'cost per print' comparisons?

Thanks in advance

Hi Touch Imaging has just released the HiTi 640PS. I own the 630PS and it is a great printer. The 640PS accepts more types of memory modules and prints at 430 DPI. Read Steve's reviewn under Photo printers.
