Will my epson r300 printer work for Dye Sublimation?

Also what all do I need to get started to put Dye Sublimations on shirts?
Does this require special shirts?
How well does this last on this shirts?

Also I'm only doing this as a hobby, so I'm not wanting to spend very much money.

thanks for any help!!!!!!!!!!!!

did a very quick search on yahoo and found this bit of info dont know how old it is though

What type of printer do I need for Sublimation printing?

An Epson printer is required and we can offer advice as to which printer may suit your needs best. Most people tend to go for an Epson 1290 as this is a good A3 printer which can also print A4 size. The 1290 is a 6 colour printer and sublimation ink is available in all 6 colours, so if you want the best colour reproduction then you should consider a 6 colour Epson printer. However, many of the newer Epson 6 colour printers, e.g. the R200, R300, do not have colour profiling software available just yet so unless you want to experiment with the colour profiling yourself then we would not recommend these printers.
