Of course you can answer as many or as few questions that you care to respond to.

If you would; please answer questions in an outlined format so others can easily see "at a glance" and then follow up with any commentary that you care to add.

I look forward to seeing the responses and sure other will to.

Note: anyone interested/knowledgable in inkjet printers can find the same poll in the inkjet forum.

I'll start this off, a dye sub is the only printer I have.

1)model of dye sub printer (s) currently use:
Hi-Ti 630PL

2) how long have you had this/these printer (s)?
Near a month

3) Do you consider yourself [photographer/graphics artist etc.]:
c) Amateur

4) Do you use your printer for professional purposes? No

5) From 1-5 (1 being the worst), how do you rate your printer (s):
High 5

6) Are you considering a new printer?: Yes
6a) If so, which brand & model:

Espon R800 (pigment inkjet printer)
HP 7960 (inkjet)
Olympus 440 (dye-sub)

7) Which digital camera (s) do you own & use:
Canon G3

Thus far, I really like my Hi-Ti printer. The only drawback (perhaps for you but isn't an issue for me) to my model is lack of speed and being noisey.

I like the option of being able to print templates over photos/stickers and have done so already. My kids, in particular, like the sticker/template options.

I think it would be more helpful if you tell why you are thinking about getting a new printer.

Fair enough. My intentions for purchasing another printer is:

For the Oly p-440: a dye sub for which I can expect quality prints and that will print photos up to 8x10. My HiTi only prints up to 4x6.

For the other 2, it's a matter of being able to print larger photos but more so that I have the ability to use different papers for "creativity"purposes. Cards , canvas paper etc.

While I wait for further reviews on both the Olympus & Epson and look for more feedback regarding the HP-I'll have time to give more thought to this.
