Default Help with Bad Colors SOMETIMES (sony sv55)

I have a Sony SV55 and I'm GENERALLY happy with it. It has its quirks--it occationally reboots my machine when trying to print, but not TOO often.

The big problem is very bad color output--either too green/yellow or too red--but ONLY from certain software programs.
Canon's print utility, my Epson Print utility and most image editors print fine. The trouble arises with the album programs:
Microsoft Digital Image Suite 9, Adobe Photoshop Album 2, JASC Paint Shop Photoalbum, etc. All have great print utils, but none like my lil sony. I've tried setting the color matching profile manually in WinXP, but after trying about all of them, I wasted 30 bucks worth of paper and none looked good. (all made a difference in output tho)
Any Ideas? I really liked Adobe Album. I would like to use it and get rid of lots of other progs.

(ACDsee works great--the only album that prints correctly)
Any advice on how to get the ones that don't work would be appreciated. I have enough that do work--i don't want any more software!
