thnx Steve...
I'm still new to the site and haven't found everything yet.
Loved the review though. I saw it after some timely site exploration.

Great and quick printer that outputs over 400dpi. Very nice prints. I love mine!

marshall,

I'm assuming you need to purchase a ribbon cartridge. Are these readily accessable best buy, other stores, etc.?

how much are the ribbon cartidges? How many 4x6 prints do you get with one cartridge?

and do you really have to use proprietary paper? I hear it may not be easy to come by. What has your experience been like?

I have a question about this printer, or even Dye-Sub printers in general. Are there generic ribon/paper out there? I've gotten use to getting my ink's for cheaper not going retail on them. I'm very interested in this Sony, especially with the rebate they have on it right now, but the price per print is just a tad bit too high. Some company has to make OEM packs for these printers?

maybe not

I love the DPP-SV55, but it is not supported on Mac OS X. (I have to work on OS 9). Are there other dye sublimation printers out there like Sony but supported on OS X?
