I have several events coming up in the spring and need to print onsite (5x7 prints).Type of events range from wedding reception to children's portraits toschool dance.I'm caught between the Kodak 1400, HiTi 730PS, and the HP475. Which will provide the best combination in terms of speed, quality of print and cost?

I'm biased as I have the HiTi 730PS

I think this would be excellent for events, just plug in the cameras memory card adjust the picture in numerous ways then print, you could even swap the ribbon and paper and run off some 6x8 as a bit of a special.

I think all of the Dye-subs will give you excellent quality, it will just be the functionality that will swing it when your at an event.

If possible I would goto a shop and see them all, and check what size paper is available, at an event do you really want to be print lots of pictures onto 1 sheet of paper then cutting each print out?
Or do you just want to print straight out onto the 5x7 paper there you go job done?

Hope this helps.
