Hi,

I just shot a number of pix of my son's baseball tournement with my Nikon D80 and when I uploaded them to my mac, realized that somehow, a number of them were shot with a "tungsten" color balance setting. This of course gives them quite a blue hue.

I can go in with iPhoto (Mac) and adjust the color saturation, temperature and tint, but this is a bit tedious for each of a few dozen pictures.

So I was wondering two things:

1). is there a tool out there in the PD which does color balance correction when going between 2 settings like tungsten to daylight?

2). is there a tool which allows you to easily take the manual color balance edits and apply them to a larger set of files?

If you shoot in RAW it’s a simple matter to change the white balance settings after the fact in Adobe Camera Raw. Once you do this you can then copy those settings and apply them to whatever images you choose in Bridge.

but I did not shoot in RAW mode, but in jpeg mode.

So anyone?

I meant to say that I shot all the pix in jpeg mode, so RAW is not an option for editing these.

I could give you a number of possible ways to go if you were using a PC, but I'm unfamiliar with macs. In most photo editing programs, there is a batch mode option, which will allow you to create a setting or settings, and then run an entire folder of pictures (or just a selected few) through the process. Irfanview, for example, is a freeware program which can do this, but I don't believe there is a mac version. Surely there is mac software which can do this.
