Does anyone know if I can speed up a project that involves cropping and resizing around 200 various sized images. I want them to all end up the same size. I visualise a rectangular selection of the size I need (150 x 244 pixels) and being able to move this over the image, copy then save. Is this possible in PS7or have I overlooked something obvious?

Any suggestions please

If you haven't figured it out yet it is fairly easy.
Select the crop tool.
In the width box at top put 150 (or 244) and select pixels in the drop down menu to the right of the box.
Put the other dimension in the height box and select pixels.
Your crop box will retain the proper ratio and you can resize it.
When you hit the Enter key you will end up with a 150 X 244 image cropped however you put the box.
It will remember the setting for the next image.

Make sure to "Save as" and not "Save' or you will lose the original. There are alternative ways of protecting the images like bulk rename to another folder etc. But if you don't do anything else to protect the originals make sure to "Save as".

Wonderful, it works! Thanks very much for that it will save me lots of time. I thought there must be a way to do it but I couldn't find it in the help files. I must admit I usually use the 'Select tool' tool with copy and paste for most of my crops. I think most of us get used to using one method for doing something and get stuck in a rut and don't try something new!

Thanks again Slipe
