Hello,

I hope that everyone has had a happy Thanksgiving. After checking a few circulars and websites I found that Frys.com has Paint Shop Pro on sale for $69 - $50 rebate so a total $19 after rebate.

This intrigues me as I have been researching software for the last couple of weeks. PSP has been a contender because of it's functionality and pricing.

I have been trying to decide on PSP vs Elements.

Should I pick up PSP XI or Elements 4.0?

Walt

Paint Shop Pro is well worth $20. My impression is that PSP and PSElements are serious compeditors with often PSP ahead: doubt Adobe would move as much stuff from the full fledged PhotoShop down to Elements without the competition from PSP.

Watch out for the coupons though: often the rebate that brings it down to something like $20 is for an upgrade. If you don't have a previous version, you likely won't have the stuff to mail into getthe rebate.

It appears to be legit (as these things go, provided your rebate form isn't lost, you filled it out correctly, etc., etc., etc.).

I don't like to base purchase decisions on rebates. I've seen too many stories about people having problems getting them back. So, it's probably a good idea to make copies of everything, sending the form by certified mail, etc.

What a pain to get a check back in "8 to 10 weeks" (if you're lucky). :-)

Wow you picked up PSP at Bestbuy for $29 that's one hell of a price.

I did go and pick up the software today but I may need to take it back if I can get for $29 out the door without rebates.

I think I even have a bestbuy coupon.

Will do chucky. The credit card is starting to get weighed down a bit. I will have to run back out to FRY's and return what I bought today.
