I use picasa for all my editing and managing of photos. I really need something with a cloning tool. Is there something out there that is as easy as picasa but with a clone tool ?

What do you mean by "Clone Tool"?
Picasa 2 allows duplicating images either either as original un-edited JPEG Files or Picasa-Edited images. See Picasa HELP while on line.

he means using clone tool to remove things from an image by cloning parts from other ares, like in photoshop

am sorry but cant suggest anything apart from photoshop as thats all i have ever used

Paint.net and the Gimp are a couple freeware image editors that should be able to do the trick. I've barely used either of them though so I can't offer a lot of help, but it looks like Paint.net is a bit easier when it comes to the interface.

You'll find that most image editors are going to be more difficult to use versus something like Picasa. But, you also have more tools at your disposal with a more advanced editor.

Look at GIMPshop. It's based on the Gimp, with a UI that more closely resembles Photoshop for tools and menu choices.
