Right now Adobe is just offering CS-3 as A freebeta version. They do that to get feedback on any problems. If you are using CS-2 now you should just probably stick with it for a while longer. I have read on another Forum that the CS-3 bridge is jamming up the Bridge in CS-2 causing problems that can only be repaired by re-installing the CS-2 after getting rid of the Beta CS-3. I'm sure they will have it all worked out pretty soon. From what I have been reading on the Napp forum it is going to be a really good up-grade from CS-2. I'll wait just a little longer before I download CS-3.

I've heard it will run faster on Intel Macs. Anyone know if there's truth to this?

I am a beginner user of CS2 and am interested in upgrading to CS3 in Summer. I am still confused on CS3 vs. Lightroom though. In what situations Lightroom is a better tool than the CS2 or 3? I have not used Lightroom at alland that is part of the problem too.

I may be wrong but I'm thinking that Lightroom is a program used to sort and file photographs. I never got it because I use Adobe Bridge which is part of CS-2 to do that.

CS-2 and soon to be CS-3 are adobe programes used to repair and modify photographs. These programs have very powerful tools to process pictures. They both come with Adobe Bridge.
