I am trying to get the skys in my photos to come out better (outside of using a polorizer and shooting at the perfect time of day). I have PS 7.0 and a trial of light room. I keep seeing people posting pictures with beautifully post processed skys. I mainly want to get my skysto be a darker, more vivid blue. How do I achieve this effect?

thanks in advance

Check this out: http://www.lonestardigital.com/blue_sky.htm

Of course, this is Photoshop we're talking about, so there's gotta be more than one way to do it: http://www.shutterbug.net/techniques...99sb_creating/

One of the simplest ways that I use if there is some color in the original sky is to just select the sky and then bring up levels as an adjustment layer and move the middle and/or the left slider to the right. Or, bring up the selective color box after making the selection and choose blue. Then go to the black slider and increase the amount of black!
