Default Is update to ZoomBrowser worth it?

I just installed ZoomBrowser (ver 3.2) from the Solutions Disk that came with my Canon PowerShot G2. I disovered that Canon offers an upgrade (version 4.0.2) but there appears to be some radical changes in the update. What have others experienced with the ZB update? Is it worth the effort to download the 4.0.2 update? Pros vs cons. Also welcome any comments in general about ZoomBrowser. Thanks. Bob

The new Zoombrowser will want to make you forget the old version real quick.
Canon got it right this time.
Once you change the Preferences so that they make windows-sense, it becomes a very intuitive program that works just like any other windows program. Be sure to check the "Windows standard selection" under the Selection tab and check the "Rotate original JPEG image" under the Rotation tab. -Of course others will argue that there is good reasons for the other options, but if you are the kind of person who does not want to remember things unique to a particular software and instead use the Windows standards, you'll find that these settings will make Zoombrowser do the expected.
Beyond that, there is just too many improvements to go into more detail!!!

Thanks, Ed ~

I appreciate your comments. It appears that the ZB upgrade is aimed for the Windows 2000 & XP consumer.

Tell me, how did you download the upgrade? I believe that there are 16 files with a total size of 30MB Best regards. Bob

I just downloaded it and followed the instructions. It's been a while so I don't remember the details.
I'm running Win 98 and Win Xp on different PC's and it works as good on one as it does on the other.
