what noise reduction software is recommended, preferable free if possible. I have nero 7 which deals with noise in nerosnapshot. Does photoshop elements have a good noise reduction tool?

I'm seldom bothered with noise but for the few times when it is a nuisance, I use Neat Image. I use it in its simplest mode which makes it easy.

Neat Image and Noise Ninja, mentioned earlier are both good choices. I know that Neat Image has a free demo version that you can use forever if you don't mind having fewer output options, and, I think, no batch capabilities. Noise Ninja used to have a free demo version, also, but I don't know whether they still do or what restrictions it imposes. I use the free version of Neat Image and it works very well.
