I'm new to Lightroom 2 and Qimage, and am used to Photoshop where you Duplicate your photo upfront. Now working in Lightroom 2, then external editing to Photoshop or Qimage I seem to be creating too many duplicates. Is it best to name your photos as "ORIG" in the file name and then changing the name as you exit to an external editor like Photoshop or Qimage? I could choose Edit Original but I want to still be able to go back to the History List and tweak if necessary later; so i'm editing a copy with Lightroom adjustments. Also, after coming back to Lightroom from Photoshop or Qimage i think the History States are no longer editable. Does this make any sense? Now you know why i need some guidance. Thanks for your consideration. :?:
