Is there an option in NX2 that will show you which areas of your photo has blown highlights and shadows? Aperture 2.0 will display the blown highlights in red (default) and shadows in blue (default).

Yes, there is. "Click" on the "double threshold" box in the Histogram pallet. That will show both highlight blowouts, and underexposed areas.

Thanks pal. Considering the NX2 "upgrade version". Even though, I just ordered Adobe Photoshop LR/CS4 ($90.00 promotional discount since I ordered both at the same time). But, not 100% sure. LR/CS4 is obviously a lot more powerful (in most areas) and limitless (being as third-party companies are always coming out with high quality plug-ins).

Also it wouldn't make sense to do some of your editing of one photo in one editor and other editing in a second. Might affect the work you had done in the first editor you used.
