Default Need help please

I have something going on here I just don't understand. When I export an image out of Aperture it looks fine. As soon as I import into Elements it gets darker like the gamma gets screwed up. What's going on?

Check to see what color space you are using in Aperture. While I'm not familiar with either program, you (let us say) you are in Adobe 98 in Aperture, and Elements is set to SRGB (or vice versa) the images will look profoundly different.

i would suspect something of that nature is the culprit, usually cs4 will ask you to change the color space, thus eliminating that trouble, not sure if elements does this.

Elements uses the default of adobe RGB for a color space. You may need to change it to sRGB. It may take some browsing through the menus to find this.

Ok, upon saving out of Elements, everythings ok if I save "as" and include the SRGB profile. If I save for web, thats when it darkens the image because I don't get a choice of profiles to select from.
