Default Corel's PaintShop Photo Pro X3 @US$19.99 until Feb 7

Corel's PaintShop Photo Pro X3 is out. There is a very good discount for the upgrade version.

The $19.99 discounted price is valid until Feb 7, while the normal upgrade price is $79.99

Use this link to purchase it on-line from Corel's US site.

http://store.corel.com/webapp/wcs/st...0103&langId=-1

The downloaded upgrade version can be bought using credit card from anywhere, even outside the USA. I am in Asia and have purchased it OK.

Downloading it now... I have used this program for quite a while. Looking forward to seeing what they have done with the raw lab. Their new batch processing feature should be nice too.

People in other forum reported that PSP Pro users with version older than X2 can also upgrade successfully.

It seems the PSP Pro X3 installer does not check whether there is a previous version of PSP on the PC or how old the previous version is.

Good luck!

From myfinepix forum, I read that one UK user who is a first time buyer of PSP can successfully install the X3 version without any previous version on his PC.

Default Question about the Paintshop Photo Pro

I used Panitshop Pro years ago but have been using Photoshop for some time now.

For you guys who use Paintshop Photo Pro, can you tell me if the program has tools similar to PS including
1 - Clone brush
2 - Dodge
3 - Burn
4 - Layers - I think i read it does have this
5 - UNSHARP mask
6 - Noise reduction (although I use a Noiseware plug-in in Photoshop)
7 - Levels
8 - Color adjustments

Any info on these type tools would be helpful. I may download the trial version to check it out.

Thanks,
Andy
