I am not sure either - the page doesn't specify, but calls it a plugin, and the support page seems to require registration.

I emailed Allien Skin and they sent me these instructions:

1. Create a new folder on your C: drive or Macintosh Hard Drive called "Plug-Ins".
2. During installation select the option "Choose an Install Location" or "Choose Another Install Location" (depending on the product).
3. Direct the installer to the new Plug-Ins folder you just created.
4. In your host application's plug-in preferences, click the checkbox to add an additional plug-ins folder and direct the browser window to the new plug-ins folder you created.
5. Restart the host application and your filters should show in the menu.

I did so and the plug in installed succesfully. It's a great piece of software.

A quick try simple. I can see the power of this software when you don't have a long zoom lens that will give you a great bokeh.
Anyway, if you want to be serious with this program, you need to use a precise lasso tool and that implies a tablet. A mouse is not good enough.

1. Original

2. Bokeh planar (you can difusse backgrounds as you like)

haha thanks for the examples does look like it could come in handy but $200 with instalation issues they can keep it a bit too exspensive in my eyes if i was going to go down that route of paying highly i would most probably go with onone plugins.
