Default Software for Nikon RAW-files

I have a Nikon D300s. Can anyone telle me if Photoshop Elements 8.0 will be handle to the files ?

Yes.

The Nikon D300s is supported in Adobe Camera Raw versions 5.5 or greater. You can also update the Camera Raw.8bi plugin used in Elements 6 or 7 to a newer version to get D300s support (basically, downloading a new version of the plugin and copying it to the correct folder).

P.S.

From looking at the Image EXIF in some of your previous posts, it looks like you already have Photoshop Elements 7 for Windows.

So, just install a newer version of the Adobe Camera Raw.8bi plugin and you'll be able to process your D300s raw files using it.
