Default How do I add scripts to GIMP ?

I'm a total newbie to editing software and I downloaded GIMP last night before I dive into photoshop or something. But I've been reading about preset scripts to get the kind of look I may be looking for. How's this done ?, How do I add it to my scripts folder ?.....and also does GIMP do HDR ?

Be sure and check out the Resynthesized plug-in and it's accompanying script. It's GIMPs version of Content Aware Fill. Awesome.

I got a kick out of comparing these videos when CS5 was released, since that Gimp plugin has been out for around 5 years now, and Adobe just added Content Aware Fill starting with CS5.

Adobe Photoshop CS5 Content Aware Fill:

The Gimp (free) using the Resynthesizer Plugin (free).

But, I understand it's buggy with some newer versions of the Gimp (may need some patches to work correctly).

Yeah, it's pretty amazing. It's often the opensource stuff that copies the paid programs but in this case it was the other way around.

That link I provided includes the script with the proper patches that are needed for the plugin to work properly with the latest GIMP. I have had no problems with it.
