Default Scaling/Zooming on screen in Photoshop

I'm kind of annoyed at how Photoshop scales images on screen. If I view an image at 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100% zoom, it looks great. However, if I view it at an "in between" zoom, of say 33.3% or 66.7%, it doesn't scale the photo smoothly, and there's all kinds of jaggies, moire effects, etc. It all goes away if I zoom to an even 25 or 50%. What gets me is that I have a few other image viewers and editiors (some of them are free) that all scale the image smoothly no matter what the zoom.

What's wrong? Is there some setting I can change so I get smooth viewing at all zoom ranges?

I'm using Photoshop 7.0.1, but I had the same issue when I used 5.5. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Upping your monitor resolution is probably your best bet...
