Default Need some help please

I'm trying to take the cable on the left side of this photo out but it does not look good when I do it.
Would anyone like to see if they can get rid of it for me.

Thank you

Will this do? Photoshop Elements version 2. Used polygonal lasso and one or two dabs with brush & pencil.

Yes, that is great. You made that look so good that now I wonder if the next cable should go.
What do you think?

Thank you very much.

Nice job Herb. It would have been better if you worked on the hi res file though.

Herb,

Here is a higher resolution photo, if you can get rid of the two cables on the left that would be great.
I hope to print this photo to frame in a 8x10 size.

This picture should be 3.1mb. I can email picture to you if that helps.

Thanks so much for all of your help.

rachunter - I'd certainly like to try, but both the picture you've just posted, and the one at Photobucket both show up on my computer as being in the same dimensions (1024x768) and the same size of file as the first one 264kb.

Edited - (I've now got the bigger file)

Rachunter...
What editing software do you have? That is a good skill to acquire, and we could probably coach you through. Doesn't have to be as sophisticated as Photoshop with its "Content Aware" editing. Herb did that with a very early version of Elements.
