Default CS-5 need help ..Please

Hello folks , i have another thread regarding wether or not to buy this .I bought it , I find it to be very confussing compared to LR (which i imediately felt at home with.)

For one It will not allow me to open a raw file because it doesn't recognize the camera (t2i)

Second of all , when you want to do the same edits you would do in lightroom (noise , exposure etc ) what /where do you open the file(s) in ? Bridge?

I really don't understand any of this program yet (even where to take my photos for the basic edits)

So If you have advice on this assume I am brain dead when describing
(funny thing is ,i rarely have trouble finding my way through programs)

Thanks Kevin

Hi,

I use CS5 and Adobe's Camera RAW to pp and edit all my images.

Use Bridge to open your image file, you simply highlight the image you want to work on in Bridge, right mouse click, then the window pops up and shows you which programs you can use to edit the image. It is here that you should see: open file in Camera RAW

Once opened, you can access all the noise filters, sharpening tools, etc. that are available.

Hope this helps.

Zig

Hi,

It is great to hear that your system and software are running properly.

I, personally, find CS5 a most powerful photo editing package, and, as you've probably found out, a package with so many features, that it's almost impossible to outgrow.
