Default Remap hot/dead pixel with photo editor software?

If I know where a bad hot/dead pixel is on my ccd (x,y), are there any programs (stand alone or plugins) I can use to "block" or ignore the bad pixel and edit the bright pixel out with the color from an adjacent pixel? I was hoping I could use some sort of batch/macro when I first open up the jpg file, and have it "remap" the bad pixel.
