Default iPhoto Editing

Anyone here use iPhoto on the Mac for some photo editing? I do, and I find it a very easy and powerful tool.

It's good for very simple edits but that's about it. The "filters" iPhoto provide aren't very useful for anything. If you like how simple iPhoto is and want more advanced editing, you should try Aperture 3, which is also made by Apple, and I think is $80 on the Mac app store.

Yeah, the filters are awful.

How is Aperature better? I know it is similar to PS, but how much better is it?

Aperture 3 is similar to lightroom not photoshop I uploaded it from the apps store and I find it great it does a lot more than iphoto. I use it to sort out my RAW pictures and then convert to JPG if i need to, it is also non distractive so you can easily go back to your original
