Default Where does one get help for Photoshop??

Is there any support for Photoshop?

I had a problem tonite (PS 7, Win XP)

Problem: When I go to Image, Adjustments, Curves ... the curves tool no longer appears.

so I went to the Help system

****result ... NADA
Surely Adobe has the worst help system of any professional application.

so I went to the Adobe support site

****result ... NADA

this is about the worst FAQ site/knowledge base I have used. The query tool is not only weak but ti returns a lot of irrelevant hits.

I looked under
curves not appear
curves
trouble shooting appear
trouble shooting not appear
trouble shooting
etc.

so I went to the user forum ...........

This is absurd, the forum is a hodge podge with no apparent organization, no thread structure ... etc. Also, they explicitly call it a user forum ..so I guess there is no professional Adobe support.

so I looked for paid support ... but at $39 an incident, this seems awfully pricey

Actually, certain of the PS programmers monitor the forum and do chime in with periodic help. The thing is that, unless you know who they are, you don't necessarily realize that this is who's answering a question. One of them who's seen a lot is Chris Cox.

Nevertheless, I understand your frustration. I usually find the answer to a question at the forum, but it can occasionally take a lot of time and digging. With your specific problem, if you can't find an answer, you should post your question on the forum.
