there are a bunch of free ones that work ok, picasa and gimp are pretty popular for free editors.

If you are familiar with Photoshop methods, you may like the Gimp, which appears to me to be very similar in layout and methods.
For my purposes, I have yet to find anything both as easy to use and as comprehensive as Photoimpact. I have tried the Gimp and found the basic features reasonably easy, but the more advanced I tried to get, the more obscure were the methods.

Cool, I will give them a try. I did not know picasa could do that. Well, I hardly use it. I will play around with it.

I like photoshop, I just don't want to spend that kind of money on it.

Thanks for the advice.
