Default Lightroom 3 - $100 limited time

I hope this is OK to post here. If you can't get educational pricing then you're unlikely to find a better deal:

Whenever you see huge price breaks on mainstream products, it makes you wonder if a new release is "just around the corner".

But, I haven't noticed any announcements for Lightroom 4 Betas yet.

Jim,

I wouldn't be surprised if 4.0 was just around the corner but I tend to think this pricing is a Black Friday thing. Amazon and Newegg have been goin back and forth over the last couple of days lowering prices on things and matching each other on things. Amazon lowered Photoshop Elements 10 to $50 and it just came out. I've seen Amazon lowering prices to match Newegg on several computer components today too.

Either way it would still be a good deal. I hope that LR4 IS coming soon because I'm excited to see what changes Adobe has in store and I get educator pricing!

I haven't heard anything about betas for either LR4 or CS6 - I've been somewhat expecting a new CS to come out soon, the only thing I've heard about it was the bit on Steve's main page, about Adobe saying you had to have CS5 to get CS6 at the upgrade price. Wish I knew more about what they will be charging for CS6 upgrade vs. their academic pricing.
