Default Photoshop Elements Problem

I'm having a trouble with Canon Camera RAW files from my 5D mark III and Photoshop elements.

I just updated Elements hoping that would solve the problem it did not.

Here's the information about Elements and then I'll figure out a way to post a screenshot of what a CR photo looks like when Elements opens it.

Default Hope you've fixed this problem before

Here's the photo.

If I open it in Lightroom, it opens with no problems. I'd just rather work with single photos in Elements. So I don't think it's the camera having issues.

I think I've got all the latest plugs and updates installed.

Where am I missing the boat? BTW, this is not a a CR image, I uploaded a jpeg, but it looks exactly like the CR file. It did not change during conversion from CR to jpeg.

Thanks!

FP

When you updated Elements, did you also update the Camera Raw plug-in?
I don't recall the exact procedure, as I haven't used Elements for some time, but you may have to update the CR plug-in first, and then re-install Elements. (or maybe it's the other way around)

G'day FP

I'd put money on the issue being a PC memory issue rather than a PSE issue
I have seen very similar things over the years with various products, and my take is that the PC has got its memory-references out of kilter

I have found that a shut-down & restart usually fixes the problem
Hope this helps

Phil
