Default Photoshop delay on the healing brush

Just out of curiosity, since it's not a problem

When I boot up in either OSx Jaguar or OSx Panther and run PS, for the first few times that I use the healing brush, the replace cursor doesn't show up. Instead whatever cursor was activated before stays in view - And there is a delay on the location cursor.

The brush actually works fine but there is a delay. After three or four uses, the cursors are functioning normally. Nor does this reoccur during the session.

Does anyone know what this is about - What could cause it?

No I have plenty of memory. Moreover the problem quickly vanishes without any help from me - Thus this is why I say it's not a problem.

Still it occurs EVERYTIME I use CS in either Jaguar of Panther, and I was wondering...
