Default Printing borders in Photoshop

I am unable to print a black border around and image in Photoshop although PS6 is able to do it. Using HP 940C printer. Some printers can't do it....is this one?

Thanks in advance!

Default Plugin

Instead of using the printer for borders try using a photoshop plugin to create the border. You'll of course get a bit of cropping, but the end result may be more appealing.

Default Expand Canvas

The easiest way to accomplish what your asking is to expand the canvas by as much as you like and then make the foreground color black and fill it.
