I'm looking for Image Editing software that allows me to do all the corrections that Photoshop offers (I'm currently using the Home Edition) and also will allow me to do text art (Word Art). Currently I'll pull my image into Photoshop, edit my image, save it, then open it in Microsoft Publisher (old version) and add Word Art, borders, etc. Then print from there. The only problem is that after I do all of that in Publisher, it won't allow me to save the entire file as a Jpeg. I would like to be able to save the entire file, word art and all as a jpeg image so that I can take it to my local photoprocessing store and have the image printed professionally, especially when I want to do poster size prints.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I'd also like to be able to do a photocollage of sorts on a 16x20or largerlayout with word-art or text graphics, then save the entire collage as ajpeg and have it printed at alocal photoprocessing store. Any suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Thanks!

Hi

You could try something like Xara 3D instead of Microsoft Word Art - its much better, and you can export your graphics as gifs and drag them onto the images in Photoshop using the Move tool. ( see http://www.xara.com/products/xara3d/)
For your montage, use File>New in PS to open a new file 20" X 16" at 300 dpi, and simply drag your photos and text onto it in the same way. Make sure all your resolutions are the same.
When you do this the elements appear as separate layers. Open the Layers pallette (Window>Layers) , and you can change the stacking order of the layers.

Thanks for the input, but I'm looking for an image editor that will allow me to work with text and create "word-art" style text directly in the image editor. Take a look at the attached image to see what I'm talking about. I found an editor called Photo Impact Pro by Nova Publishing (not the one that Ulead has). It claims that I can do all of the text style things that I want to accomplish, but I hate to buy it without knowing for sure. Once I create the text art in the image, I want to be able to save the entire thing as a jpeg or tiff.

Thanks again for your help and let me know if you have any other suggestions.
