I am amateur with Adobe Photoshop 7 software. I am only scratching the surface of its capabilities and would like some instruction. Is there any good books/CDs that do this? I have seen some books but they are too technical or just lousy at tutorial. Any ideas?

Try 50 Fast Digital Camera Techniques by Gregory Georges. Make sure to get the one for Photoshop and not the one for Elements. It has all the practice files on a CD and it puts together several options to make one technique. The techniques are methods you could use today in your imaging editing.
