Default Need a White Balance quick fix

I have a new Minolta F100, it works great, but the autoexposure tends to adjust the white balance for outdoors even when indoors under incandescent lighting. Does anyone have any quick way or rebalancing the color. Eyeballing is clearly not a good approach as I can come close but still not really get it.
I have Photoshop 5, as well as MS Photo editor, photo pro, and the Dimage viewer which includes some sophisticated tools but no instructions on how to use them , or use them well.

I'm a PS7 user, but I think the PS5 has the LEVELS option too. This works really great for me. You can also use the CURVES option but this is a bit more difficult I think.
