Default Rating PhotoShop 2.0 for Photographers

Rating PhotoShop Elements 2.0 for Photographers:

How does PhotoShop Elements 2.0 compare against other available image post production programs? Does it rank second only to full-featured PhotoShop?

PE 2.0 user comments and suggestions especially welcomed.

Many thanks.

One of elements great strengths, is that of it's lineage. It has a great deal of photoshop built into it, plus a few extras not available in photoshop, yet.

However any software must do what you want of it. If it does not do the task you require, or do it in a manner you deem appropriate, then it is not right for you. You ultimately must choose based upon the quality of the software and it's ability to work the way you want.

But elemants is a very good entry level program. Probably much better than most, even in a higher price range.
